cohort-based team transformation intensives
boost your impact from the inside out
Is your team stuck, disengaged, or looking for ways to level up?
When teams are uncertain, misaligned, or quietly frustrated, they become more focused on managing tension rather than moving the mission forward.
Team coaching creates space for teams to slow down, reconnect, and see and hear each other, leading to greater, more sustained impact.
for teams who want to level up and surge ahead
imagine your team as a rock band.
It isn’t enough to have talented individual musicians.
It’s how you connect creatively and play together that makes the difference and gets you in the groove.
“I really appreciated the team coaching approach so much more than team training. Coaching feels more personalized, and it allowed us to tailor the choice of “interventions” used to our specific needs. Essentially, this allowed us to really focus on our pinch, identify tasks and goals to overcome and work through the pinch and set metrics to ensure we don’t fall back into bad habits. It also allowed us to see where we were strong as a team and ensure the foundation, we built for ourselves does not deteriorate but instead become stronger. You don’t get any of that with training. So, thank you! ”
— Team coaching client of Michelle Davis and Betsy Block through California State University, Sacramento
Spend less time managing team dynamics and more on mission.
Normalize challenges and build community.
Reawaken a sense of shared purpose and connection.
Rather than applying an outside methodology, what if you could opt in to cohort-based team coaching experience?
Team coaching is an opportunity to get back into alignment by having the conversations you’re not having—yet!
It’s long-term in nature, often 6-9 months, focused on helping teams:
See and hear each other
Acknowledge conflict without blame
Understand each other’s perspectives
Build structures and habits that let the team work better together
The result is stronger relationships, healthier collaboration, and a team aligned around shared goals.
but you’re aware of how many trainings and team-building experiences are expensive and often without lasting impact.
You know your team needs something—

It’s usually a management team, but could be any team. The manager participates and has decision-making authority.
-
Teams of 7+ are too big for this program—but we’d be happy to talk about another solution for the team.
-
We need the entire team. The exception is if part of the team is working on a project – so, in essence, they are a sub-team. The goal is to have the "whole" that is working together on a common goal.
-
The maximum is 8 teams, so expect a total of 50-60 people in the cohort. We'll be sure to break the cohort into smaller groups for discussions so the group doesn’t feel too big.
-
The cohort workshops and team coaching will happen over Zoom. In the rare instance where a team is less than 20 miles from a coach’s home office, we may travel to the team for in-person coaching.
-
Teams that plan for an additional 4 to 8 hours of effort per module will see the most greatest benefits.
-
Team coaching is for the WHOLE team, so the team is responsible for making sure the team gets the information. Each team will uniquely design for this with own team members.
-
Teams will struggle with new concepts - and that's where we can do some amazing learning and application in the team coaching sessions. If the team needs even more support, we can consider adding additional team-specific support (fee-based).
-
Heck, yes! The coaches will be available via email for one-off questions, and perhaps a short check-in to help keep the team on track.
-
We’ll use the Team Diagnostic Assessment from Team Coaching International both before & after to measure improvement across 14 attributes of effective teams. These attributes resonate well with mission-driven teams, and provide useful comparison to for-profit teams.
