Advancing team coaching
by making it affordable and accessible for mission-driven nonprofits
Agate Initiative is a fiscally sponsored project of Social Good Fund
What can team leaders do when the team is not… teaming?
Nonprofit teams face strategic shifts, leadership changes, burnout, and outside pressure. Left unaddressed, these disruptions get in the way of serving the mission.
When there’s disconnection on a team, there’s also an opportunity
for the team — and the organization.
Agate Initiative exists to strengthen the nonprofit sector by expanding access to systemic team coaching, and we share our research, tools, and findings so the benefits reach beyond the teams we coach.
“She approached our project with patience, guidance, and wisdom that I greatly appreciated, taking time to check in with the team and helping us set a clear direction for the future. The team is super happy and we’re making steady progress toward our goals.”

Our Focus in 2026:
team transformation intensives
Our cohort-based Team Transformation Intensives offer nonprofit teams the chance to engage in meaningful, structured team coaching alongside peers navigating similar challenges.
Learn about our cohort-based intensives:
“We were a high performing team prior to the engagement—but we wanted to prepare our team for the onboarding of several new [team members]. Seeing our blind spots and how to leverage our strengths to set goals was really helpful. It was also great to hone in on the strengths of the group so we can lean on each other when necessary.”
